About Us
Westpine Armature Winders was established in 1973. The company was founded by Sydney Towell who after more than 63 years in the armature winding industry, is now semi-retired.
From humble beginnings, Sydney was driven to succeed, beginning his armature winding career as an apprentice on the West Rand Consolidation Gold Mines. There he achieved his qualification as an armature winder. more…
Sydney has always been a man of humility and integrity and has evidently passed those remarkable traits onto his children, Clinton and Gareth Towell and Lynn Halstead, who now own and manage the company. Sydney remains on as a professional consultant, offering his expertise as and when needed. The company has since more than tripled its workspace, machinery, productivity, loading facility and staff compliment.
Clinton and Gareth Towell, space have for almost three decades, continued to consistently build up a reputation which upholds excellence in the armature winding industry the two brothers have worked side by side to achieve Westpine’s mission, namely: ‘To exceed the expectations of our clients: to provide an exceptional service that is highly skilled yet friendly and always reliable. Total dedication that results in a workshop that runs consistently smooth and efficiently, with a workforce that is united as a team.
Many of the clients who established business relationships with Westpine back in the 1970’s, remain on today as satisfied and committed clients. This is due to Westpine’s aim to strive for excellence and always exceed the client’s expectations and needs. Westpine is now proudly one of the country’s most respected and trusted service providers in the armature winding industry.
